Goal management (i.e. OKRs) was handled manually, with some teams relying on spreadsheets to track progress. Over several years of utilizing Happy5, Moladin had undergone three significant changes in its performance management approach, but they were well supported and facilitated by Happy5’s adaptable tools and support. In its first year, Moladin focused exclusively on implementing the Happy5 performance review system, with the software’s enhanced calibration capabilities being a key module to ensure accurate and fair performance reviews.
The CEO was initially solely responsible for conducting the performance review calibration process, overseeing employee evaluations and ensuring consistency across the organization. As the company grew, People and HR managers were introduced as assistant calibrators, working alongside team leaders to streamline and support the calibration process.
Shortly after, Moladin quickly implemented Happy5’s goal management into the organization’s performance management workflow to streamline data. Employees can now easily establish clear and transparent targets, while managers can monitor progress and guide their teams in real-time.
This Happy5 system is an important step towards aligning individual performance with broader organizational objectives, fostering growth and accountability across all levels.
Today, leaders within Moladin benefit from enhanced visibility across their entire teams, extending from their direct subordinates to lower-level team members.
This visibility, coupled with an intuitive interface, proves especially valuable during the performance review calibration process. Leaders are able to easily navigate the system and compare the performance of employees across multiple roles and from previous years. This historical perspective allows for more informed decision-making, ensuring that performance assessments are fair, comprehensive, and aligned with long-term growth.
From the Human Resources (HR) perspective, the system has resulted in fewer complaints from employees regarding performance reviews.
The streamlined performance review process, supported by data-driven insights, has also helped HR foster greater trust in the system, leading to a more satisfied and motivated workforce.
